Looking forward to comments on this fabulous new piece. As most of you know I have a wonderful greyhound named "April". She was a wonderful model for this new piece. I know sometimes she really got tired of me feeling here and there to get the proportions and structure correct. Then making her run around and get excited so she would do this pose and I could sculpt! The pose is one of my most favorites that she does. She has many more, but this one is truly hers.
Until next time, ENJOY THE ART! Terry d. Chacon

Terry, this is beautiful! Although I don't have a greyhound, I am honored to occasionally show BIS CH Gaia Woodland Waltz. He always greets me like a long-lost friend, even if I just saw him the day before. They are an endearing breed, and I have truly never seen that captured by an artist...until now. This will be a fabulous piece for you. Hopefully, your schedule will allow you to finish in time to enter the 'Art Show at the Dog Show' held during the Wichita cluster. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteTerry,
ReplyDeleteYou and April are truly phenomenal. I keep saying I would love a Greyhound but somehow, I keep getting more and more afghans. My sister in South Africa has one and these poses that you captured remind me a lot of her girl Jesse. You are such a wonderful Artist
and manage to capture the character of both afghans and greyhounds . Big congratulations.`Angela
